He lived in California and in his older years in Arkansas. His wife Alice and son Delane died in an auto accident and are buried in Arkansas. After Alice died, he married Mary Jean Duke-Dorr "Jean" in Washington State on August 12, 1979 and moved to Richland. Mary died a year before Russell. The Oregon Death Record index says he died in Clackamas, Oregon. He must have been transferred to a hospital there in his final days. It is not certain where he was buried. His children are: Wayne, Carol Jean, Delane, Willis Lee, Lynn, Della Ann LaFevers, and Delane.
