JACOB LEE DAVIS 82, of Sebring, passed away Friday, July 13, 2007, in Avon Park. He was born June 5, 1925, to Ben T. and Nancy Ellen (Butcher) Davis in Elchurst, W.V. and had been a resident of Sebring since 1961, coming from Hico, W.V. He was a cabinet maker and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and National Rifle Association. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Faye E. Davis of Sebring; daughter, Karen Montesano of Avon Park; sons, Dr. Duane and Linda Davis of Sebring, Steven and Nicole Davis of Sebring and Kevin and Susan Davis of Sebring; sister, Katherine Rogers of Hico, W.V. and Minnie Samples of Procious, W.V.; brother, David Davis of Ohio; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2007, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, Sebring, Rev. Andy Conyer officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Palmer College of Chiropractic Scholarship Fund, Development Office, 1000 Brady St., Davenport, IA 52803.
