He owned Davis Brothers Apiaries for many years and was named Beekeeper of the Year during the 1980s by the Empire State Beekeepers Association. He was a member of Warren Lodge, F&AM, of Union Springs and a former member of Union Springs United Methodist Church.
His wife, Miriam L., died in 1996.
Services: To be announced in the spring. Burial, Highland Cemetery, Odessa. No calling hours. Shakelton Funeral Home, Aurora, has arrangements.
