ARCHDALE--Mrs. Evia Mae Ijames High, 98, of Uwharrie Drive, died on December 20, 2002, at her home. She was born on April 1, 1904, in Davidson County, a daughter of Glenn and Minnie Myers Ijames. She formerly worked with Thayer-Coggin Furniture and was a member of Thomasville Church of Christ.
Surviving are a son, Elmer Mack High and wife, Amanda, of Raeford, a former daughter-in-law, with whom she made her residence, Jean High of Archdale, a brother, Athel Ijames, and wife, Clara, of Thomasville, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, by Rev. Dale Mitchell. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church cemetery.
