SAYBROOK — Ethel Mae Carnahan, 102, of Saybrook, passed away at 4:22 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 28, 2016) at Heritage Health, Gibson City.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Saybrook, with Pastor Stacy Landry officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Saybrook. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Heritage Health, Gibson City.

Ethel was born July 15, 1914, in Clarence, a daughter of James and Pearl Wittmis Savage.

She is survived by her children, Laverne (Robert) Johnson, Saybrook; Roger (Janet) Lorance, Bellflower; Delores Lorance, Port Charlotte, Fla.; and Ron (Loretta) Lorance, Phoenix, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great–grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Morris Wayne Lorance; a grandson and a granddaughter.

Ethel had worked as a dental assistant in Gibson City and in food service at Mennonite Hospital, Bloomington.

She was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle, Heyworth.
