Mary J. (Hansel) Cross

Mary J. Cross, 82 of Oak Ridge, RD New Millport, PA passed away on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006 at 2:10 am in Clearfield, PA.

Mrs. Cross was born in Garber , Iowa on August 12, 1924, the daughter of the late Japen and Dora (Feidt) Hansel.

She was a member of Oak Ridge Union Church, New Millport, PA and was a home maker.

On July 16, 1945 in Sausalito, CA she married Thomas Scott Cross, Sr, he preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1998.

She is survived by tour children; Thomas S. Cross, Jr and his wife Vicki of Washington, PA.,; Jay L Cross, Sr and his wife Durrelann of San Antonio, TX.; Donald G. Cross, Sr and his wife Joyce of Ruff Creek, PA; and Nancy J. Cross of Oak Ridge and her fiancé' Ron Park of Sykesville, PA.

Six grandchildren survive; Donald Cross Jr, Kerry Kisner, Scott Cross, Grace Kimmel, Heather Frantz, Jay Cross, Jr, and Vicki Franklin. Twelve great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Cross has two sisters and a brother surviving, Betty Fuller of Manchester, Iowa., Clara King of Sonoma, CA. and Francis Hansel and his wife Jeanette of Manchester, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by sisters; Ruth, Bernice, and infant sister Edna; brothers, Jay, Lloyd, Cliff, Roy and infant brother Ernest. And a great grandson, Anthnoy Kimmel.

Friends will be received from 7-9 pm Monday, Dec. 18, 2006; 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006 and from 11:00 am until 12:15 pm on Wed. Dec. 20, 2006 at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc. Madera, PA.

Funeral Services at the Oak Ridge Union Church, Oak Ridge, RD New Millport, PA, at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 20th, with Pastor Charles M. Lee, Jr officiating.

Graveside Services will follow in the New Millport Cemetery, New Millport, PA.
