Estey was born March 17,1890 in Kingsley,Iowa And was the daughter of (W.D.)William David Adams and Mary Lavisa Myers.The wife of Oren Dick Ruhl. They married January 1,1908 in Cleo Springs, Oklahoma.They had eight children.Archie,Pearl,Vernie,Opal,Evelyn,Doris,Richard.
Estey lived in Oklahoma.Then moved back to Webster City,Iowa in about 1923 with her husband and children.
Estey suffered from hyperthyroidism,and had surgery to have a goier removed on November 5, 1933.She died four days later on Saturday November 9,1933 at the Hamilton County Hospital at 3:30 p.m. due to secondary pneumonia.
Funeral was held at 3:30p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home.The Rev. G.E. MacCanon ,paster of the United Brethren Church officiated. She was buried November 12,1933 at Graceland Cemetery,Webster City,Iowa.
She is survived by her husband Oren Ruhl and children.Mrs Herold Schweppe,Archie Ruhl of St.Louis,Pearl,Vernie,Opal,Doris,Evelyn and Richard.At the time of her death Estey had six grandchildren.Her father W.D.Adams and seven brothers and sisters; Edger Adams of Napa,California;Mrs.Besey Fern Killingsworth of Stratford;Mrs. Zeffie Birdie Ruhl,Webster City,Iowa; Truey Ervin Adams of Webster City,Iowa;Edger Lee Adams; Stanley Adams of Turner,Oregon and Clarence Adams and Oakley"Mike" Adams Webster City,Iowa.
Estey was proceeded in death by her mother,Mary Lavisa "Myers' Adams;two sisters Ruby and Mae.Grand parents William Myers and Hannah 'Gutherie 'Myers' Adams. Joseph Adams and wife Margaret Mahala Ropp.
