Stanley was born March 3,1903 near Fairview,Ok.to his parents Rev.William David Adams (W.D.) and Mary Lavisa (Minnie)Myers-Adams.
Stanley was the seventh of the ten children born to W.D and Mary.Four brothers Edger,Ervin,Clarence and Mike.Five sisters.Esty,Bessie,Zefie,Mae and Ruby.
The family lived in Cleo,Oklahoma.And homesteaded near the area.After 8 years in Oklahoma W.D. moved his family back to the Zion community near Webster City,Iowa.Stanley was a member of his fathers church,The United Brethern.As a young man it is said that Stanley and a coulpe of his friends to a trip to Mexico rideing their horses all the way.Stanley said that he had worked on the Gene Autry Ranch in Oklahoma.He also worked on a ranch with Tom Mix.He went to Stay with his brother Edger Adams in Fresno California for a while.When he was 21 he was married his first wife Fern Hope in Webster City,Iowa.They were later divorced. Stanley lived in the Webster City area untill his late 20's when he at the home of some family and meet a young lady by the name of Cordelia Clark.Her family had just moved to the area.The Clark family desided soon after to move to Tillamook,Oregon.They needed a second driver and aked Stanley, he said yes .After the move to Oregon Stanley and Cordelia were married in Dallas,Or.September 27,1931.They travled from Jefferson,Oregon to Sisters,Oregon in 1933 with their oldest daughter Minnie in a covered wagon pulled by 2 horses. Over the old Santiam Pass,now known as the old highway.They lost a horse along he way and Stanley had to remake the hitch on the wagon for one horse to get them the rest of the way to Sisters.Stanley worked on the Bailey Ranch.Then the moveed to Vita,Oregon they had twin girls that died at birth on September 18,1933.Then they moved back to Turner,Or.They had 6 more children in the Salem area.Then they moved to Lincoln City and lived near D Lake.Then moved to Idaho .Then back to Webster City,Iowa in .Then in 1947 they moved to Council ,Idaho were he worked for the Cattlemens Assosiation .Then to Weiser,Idaho in 1951 were the family lived for many years.
Stanley continued to work on ranches in the Weiser area.And Stanley and Cordelia bought a small acerage,where Stanley raised chickens,cows,pigs and his horeses.
Stanley is sevived by his wife Cordelia Mae Clark-Adams.Two sons an there wifes,Glenn & Rowena of Harpster,Id. and Walter & Elizabeth Kay (Betty).Five daughters Minnie & Ted Ledington Council,Id.,Dorthey & James Boykin District Height,Md.,Mrs.Merlene Fowler, Weiser,Id.,Mary & Les Webster Ontaio,Or.,Betty & Leroy Widner Pilot Rock,Or.,Ruth Adams Weiser,Id.
Three brothers Edger Adams,Fresno,Calif.,Clarence Adams ,Armstrong,Iowa and Mike (Okley)Adams,Eagle Grove,Iowa and a sister Zepha & Franklin Ruhl,Webster City,Iowa,a stepmother Belle Adams,Webster,Iowa.Twenty grandchildren.
He is proceeded in death by his parents W.D. & Mary Adams,three sisters Estie,Mae and Ruby.And a brother Ervin.Twin daughters that are buried at the Laurel Grove Cemetery (in 1933 it was The Judkins Cemetery)located on Judkins Rd.
Stanley died on Monday December 11,1972 @3:10p.m at Weiser Memorial Hopital in weiser,Id. From Heart problems respirtory problems,diabetes.
Services were held on Friday December 15,1972 @ Northam-Jones Funeral Home Weiser,Id.
Stanley in buried two spaces over from his grandson Tracey Luis Cavazos who died April 14,2001.
