He married 2nd November 18, 1884, in Noble County, Indiana, to Anna Buckfink, daughter of Peter Buckfink and Fredricka Woehlboeld. She was born about 1828 in Germany and had been previously married to a Mr. Oertel.
In the 1830's and 1840's Isaac lived in Wyandot County, Ohio, and by 1855 had settled in Noble County, Indiana. He was a farmer and a carpenter.
