Robert "Bob" Edward Jonakin, passed away on March 1, 2018, at his home on Mowbray Mountain near Chattanooga. He was 89. Born in Nashville, he was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga. He was preceded in death by his brothers Siesel and Kenneth.
He is survived by his sister Patty Worsham of Oak Ridge; daughter, Lynn Royal of Flat Rock, N.C.; sons Mitchell Jonakin of San Antonio, Texas, Mark Jonakin of Chattanooga, and David Jonakin of Las Vegas, Nev.; along with two grandsons, Jonathan Royal and Steve Royal; and two granddaughters, Annie Jonakin and Carly Jonakin.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 7, 11 a.m. at Chattanooga Memorial Park with Pastor Mitchell Jonakin and Rev. Derrick Hill officiating.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Chattanooga, Dayton office. Any memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
