The Rev. Lee Curry, 94, of Columbus, formerly of Delbarton, WV died Sunday in Columbus. Born October 15, 1890, at Elk Creek, WV, he was a son of the late Harve and Louisa Vernatter Curry. He was also preceded in death by his wife Cynda Blankenship Curry and a son, Josh.

He was a member of the Hilock Community Church in Columbus where he served as assistant pastor. An ordained minister in the Freewill Baptist Church for 67 years, he served as pastor of several Freewill Baptist churches and was a charter member of the Elk Creek Freewill Baptist Church. He was a lifetime member of the South Eastern Ohio Freewill Baptist Conference.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Bessie Ramey, Mrs. Clara Burnett, Mrs. Eula Faye Hall, and Mrs. Billie Blanton; two sons, Everett and Earl. He was also survived by three brothers, Billy, Rush, and Garnett Curry, all of Delbarton; four sisters, Nancy Hatfield, Effie Tiller, Edith Kirk, and Sarah Maynard; 24 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Elk Creek Freewill Baptist Church and burial followed in the Curry-Farley Cemetery at Elk Creek.
