Albert was the son of Luther and Marianna (Hayford) Amazeen. He had three siblings: Gertrude, Luther and Hattie H. Amazeen. Albert moved to Haverhill, Mass when he was in his late teens. He worked at various shoe factories. Eventually he purchased a neighborhood grocery store in Haverhill on Groveland Street. The market has gone through a couple of owners since Albert sold. The market is still in business as Charlie's Variety Store. Upon selling it he moved to Groveland and farmed for the remainder of his life. Albert was married to Susie A. Fernald on February 7, 1891 in Haverhill. In 1896 Susie gave birth to their stillborn daughter. In the process of giving birth Susie died of child birth shock. Albert married Jennie Cummings on November 25, 1897 in Haverhill. They had four children; Thelma J., Ralph N., Dorothy N. and Eleanor Amazeen. Ralph died at the age of ten in 1910. Albert was the director of the Groveland Cooperative Bank for many years. He was also a Groveland selectman for two terms. At one point he was the second vice president of the Boston Trade Company. He died at home after a long illness at the age of sixty-nine. At the time of his death he's been married to Jennie for forty years.
