Thelma was the daughter of Albert H. and Jennie B. (Cummings) Amazeen. She was a 1920 graduate of Haverhill High School. On July 3, 1925 she married John I. Regan, also a native of Haverhill, in Somerville, Mass. They had two children; Richard P. and John B. Regan. John predeceased her in 1967. Thelma and John settled in Groveland. For many years she managed Thelma Regan's Gift and Clothing shops in Groveland and Rye Beach, New Hampshire. When John died expectantly in 1962 Thelma had been married to him for thirty-six years. Thelma died in 1973 at the age of seventy.
