Mrs. Mary E. Dunn, of Springfield, died yesterday at the Illinois state hospital in Jacksonville. She was 83 years old. She was born in Springfield July 6, 1868, and had resided here most of her life. She attended local schools and was married to Oliver W. Dunn Aug. 28, 1888. Her husband died Dec. 6, 1947.

Mrs. Dunn was a member of Grace Lutheran church and was a past member of the Ladies Aid society of that church. She belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. George Howard; a sister, Miss Katherene Lauterbach, and two brothers, John E. and Clarence L. Lauterbach, all of city.

Services for Mrs. Marie E. Dunn will be at the Gorge Howard residence. Burial in Oak Ridge cemetery.
