G.W. LAUTERBACH, COAL DEALER, DIES
George W. Lauterbach of 1221 Franklin avenue, lifelong resident of Springfield and coal dealer in this city for more than thirty years, died at 7:45 a.m. yesterday at Springfield hospital following a brief illness. He was 66 years old.
Mr. Lauterbach entered the hospital as a medical patient Sunday.
He was born in this city June 22, 1874 and married Miss Mary Keil on March 7, 1895.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; seven daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Flynn, Mrs. Evelyn Jones, Mrs. Lucille Cantral and Mrs. Dorothy Klor, all of city; Mrs. Ivy Cargill, in California; Marie and Frances Lauterbach, both at home; four sons, Edward, George, Alfred and Harry Lauterbach, all of city; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Stremsterfer, Mrs. Mary Dunn and Miss Catherine Lauterbach, all of city; two brothers, Clarence and John Lauterbach, both of city; and eleven grandchildren.
A daughter, Luella, died six years ago, and a son-in-law, Russell E. Flynn, died Dec. 30, 1939.
Remains were removed to the Ellinger & Kunz funeral home and will be taken to the residence at 5 p.m. today.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
