Abraham "Abram" Hollingsworth lived near Winchester for a while.

In 1732, he purchased 582 acres from Alexander Ross and moved there in 1733. Situated on Abraham's Creek and he called it "Abrahams Delight" and there erected the first flour mill in the county..

In 1754 his son Isaac (1722) built the first manor house in Fredrick County. Virginia on the site. It is still standing and and has been carefully restored and is the Counties Historical Society.

At Hopewell, Frederick County, Virginia in 1760, Abraham HOLLINGSWORTH was disowned for driving a wagon which connected him to the military service of disunity and fighting.

Abraham HOLLINGSWORTH's will written: 23 Sep 1748 and proven: 1 Nov 1748 in which he left 400 acres of land on both sides of Beaverdam Creek to Benjamin CARTER.

Named as his wife: Ann to have the best feather bed with its furniture and a riding horse with its side saddle.

Names as his son: George to have a tract containing 250 acres , it being part of a larger tract once containing 1250 acres situated on both sides of the "creek" and adjoining the lands he sold to Benj. CARTER.

Named as his son-in-law; Benj. CARTER to have a tract containing 400 acres situated on both sides of Beaver Dam.

Named as his son: Isaac HOLLINGSWORTH to have a tract containing 582 acres with its buildings, improvements and appurtenances.

Named as his son: George to have 7 pounds, 10 shillings.

Named as his daughter: Lydia NEILL to have feather bed with its furniture.
