Samuel H. Crum, 83, died at 7:45 p.m. yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Blair Huffer, at Churchville, route 1. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Samuel Henry Crum, 83, died Monday at 7:40 at the home of his daughter Mrs C.B. Huffer, near Churchville, following an illness of one year. his wife, Mary Etta Crum, preceeded him in death 23 years ago.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Edna Buckley, Poplar Ridge, N.Y.; Mrs. Fannie Huffer, Churchville, Mrs. Maude Frank, Waynesboro, Mrs. Edith Frank and Mrs. Reba Payne, Staunton; three sons, Charles H., Swoope; William J. and Minor J., Waynesboro; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Propst. Mt. Solon, and Mrs. Minnie Landes, Staunton; two brothers, T.J. Crum, Churchville, and James A. Crum. Aliquippa, Pa.; 31 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. from St. Peters Lutheran Church, Churchville, conducted by the Rev. W.H. Kibler, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Melvin S. Large. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery.
The following grandchildren will act as pallbearers: Clarence Young, Winfred, Warren and Hampton Crum, Alvin and Clyde Frank; honorary -- Griffin Young, Houston Crum, Carl Frank, Francis Boward, Roscoe Masincupp, Elmer Crum, Erskine Clark, Edward Bright, and the councilmen of the church.
