Services for Mrs. Eloise Cole Edgar, age 83, of Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel Monroe, LA, with Reverend Colin Wimberly officiating. Interment will be in Monroe Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Edgar was born on May 11, 1922 in Fairbanks, LA and passed away after a lengthy illness July 24, 2005 in Monroe, LA. Mrs. Edgar was a retired elementary school teacher for the Ouachita Parish School System. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Swartz, LA, the Eastern Star, Retired Teachers Association and the North Monroe Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Edgar was preceded in death by her parents, Maggie and A. E. Cole of Swartz, La., sisters Irene Cole, Barron, LaGwen Blauvelt, Ertelee Linsay and brother Wesley Ray Cole.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-four years Alex Roy Edgar, Monroe, LA, son James R. Edgar and wife Bonnie of Tampa, FL, daughter Terri Erwin and husband Doug of Port Arthur, TX, five grandchildren: James Sandlin and wife Aubri of Austin, TX, Chelsea Potter and husband Kirk of Houston, TX, Jessica Parker and husband Aaron of Nanuet, NY, Ada Edgar and John Edgar of Tampa, FL, three great grandsons: Collin Potter, Logan Potter, and Novi Sandlin.

Pallbearers are Louis Auttonberry, Jim Glass, Cliff Hart, Terry Hinds, Sonny Ramsey, and David Speir.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Monroe, LA.

The family would like to express it's deep appreciation for the care given to Mrs. Edgar by the staff at Avalon Place and Hospice Care of Louisiana.
