HARVEY A. HARD
A memorial service for Harvey A. Hard, 73, of Arlington, who died Tuesday night at Putnam Memorial Hospital in Bennington, will be held at the East Arlington Federated Church Saturday at 2 pm with the pastor, the Rev. David Andrews, officiating.
Native of East Arlington and a retired long-time employee of the press room at the Mack Molding Co., he was born Jan 7, 1903 to Seymour and Alice (Marshall) Hard, attended schools in Arlington and was a graduate of the former North Bennington High School.
He was a longtime member of Red Mountain Lodge, F&AM, receiving his 50-year pin a few years ago.
Besides his widow, the former Ethel McDermott, whom he married in Cambridge, N.Y., Nov 14, 1933, he leaves two sons, Paul of Florence, Maj. Donald of California, a daughter, Susan Durand of West Germany, eight grandchildren, a sister, Helen Fitts of Rouses Point, N.Y., nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Hard residence on Route 7 in Arlington at any time to express sympathies. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arlington Rescue Squad.
