Miss Lucy E. Vogler, 88, well-known native of the Hope community, died Thursday at the home of her brother, L. N. Vogler in Indianapolis.
Miss Vogler made her home with a sister, Mrs. A. K. V. Kennedy at Anderson, and had been visiting her brother in Indianapolis for about a week. She was taken suddenly ill Sunday.
She was born in Hawcreek Township near Hope, January 25, 1865 to Lewis Vogler and Roseltha Lee Vogler. She lived all of her life in the Hope community except for a year in Portland, Oregon.
Surviving besides the brother and sister are another sister, Mrs. L. M. Homsher of Franklin, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 Saturday afternoon at the Hope Moravian Church in charge of the Rev. A. H. Francks. Burial will be at the Hope Moravian Cemetery. The casket will be open after 4 o'clock this evening at the Norman Funeral Home in Hope.
