THIS MORNING
AFTER LONG ILLNESS

IN THIS CITY.


At 10 o'clock this morning, Stephen Altmi died at his home, 706 North Twentieth street, after a long and lingering illness of Bright's disease.

Mr. Altmix was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Altmix and was born in this city on August 14, 1873, being 38 years old at the time of his death. He always lived here, and was a well known and highly esteemed man.

For many years, the deceased was a valued employee of the Quincy Grocer company, only giving up his work when his health failed. He was a faithful and consistent member of St. Francis Catholic church, and was an exemplary and honorable man in every way.

His widow, formerly Miss Rose M. Whalen, and seven children, namely: Franklin, Robert, Ralph, Richard, Douglas, Cora and Virginia, are left to mourn his untimely death. The children range in age from sixteen years down to three years. He is also survived by one brother, Frank Altmix, and one sister, Mrs. John Soebbing, both of this city; and a number of other relatives, and many friends.
