EDMUNDS - George L. Cox, 85, died Thursday evening after a short illness at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Chester Rogers. He was born at Edmunds, September 2, 1876, the son of Edward and Sophronie (Brown) Cox. Mr. Cox was a retired employee of the St. Croix Paper Company, Woodland. He was also a charter member of Frontier Lodge, IOOF, Woodland. Surviving besides his sister are one son, Kenneth of Woodland; one brother, Bernard of Edmunds; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Everett L. Scott Funeral Home, Calais. Funeral arrangements will be announced.
