Mrs. Florence H. Offutt, a resident of John XXIII Home for Senior Citizens, Hermitage, formerly of Leesburg, widow of Floyd Offutt, died in Sharon, General Hospital at 9:30 p.m. Sunday (7-4-82) after a short illness. She was 88.
Mrs. Offutt was born in Hermitage May 19, 1894, to James and Margaret Titus.
She graduated from Hickory High School in 1910 and attended Miss Kugler's Business School, Sharon. She worked at the former Yeager's Store, Sharon, and Bessemer Trucking Co., Grove City.
She was a member of Leesburg United Presbyterian Church, Leesburg, a member of the Dorcas Society of the church, and the Mercer Order of the Eastern Star.
She married Floyd Offutt Oct. 10, 1916. He died Feb. 9, 1973.
Surviving are two sons, Glenn "Bud", Warren, Ohio, and John "Jack", Hampton, Va.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A son, James Wesley, four sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. {herald}
