of all who loved her. Marjorie passed away at 97 yrs old. Just
days after her birthday. Marjorie was born in Iowa and her Parents
moved their family to Minnesota. Marjorie grew up in a household
with her Parents and five sisters. She had no brothers but many
Brother in Laws. Marjorie was married to Arthur H. Swenson
Jan. 15, 1949. Arthur passed away Oct. 22, 1976. Marjorie remarried
as a Widow to Paul Schmidt Nov. 18, 1978.
Paul passed away Nov. 17, 1995. Marjorie was widowed twice.
Marjorie was outgoing, smart, beautiful, vibrant and social.
Marjorie was very close to her Parents, Her Sister and
their Families, other relatives. Marjorie had many friends.
Marjorie was wonderful with children and was a great teacher.
Marjorie is survived by her Step Children.
Marjorie did not have any children of her own. She also
had many nieces and nephews who adored her.
Marjorie's Nephew helped manage her final affairs when
she moved to the Care Center. Marjorie contributed much to
our World during her long life. Marjorie was preceded in death
by her Parents, both her Spouses and her Sisters. Marjorie is
survived by many family in the Minnesota area,
possibly Iowa and elsewhere around the USA.

2:00 PM Wednesday June 15, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church in
Wadena with Rev. Stephen Meltzer presiding. Friends may call one
hour prior to services at the Church on Wednesday. Marjorie
passed away at 97 years on Thursday June 9, 2016 at
the Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena.
Marjorie Marie (Swenson) Schmidt was born June 4, 1919 to
Frederick and Emily (Steege) Rachow at Sumner Iowa. She taught many
years at one room country schools. She graduated from Bemidji State
College having earned a degree in Education and finished her
career at the Deer Creek Elementary School.
Marjorie was united in Marriage with Arthur H. Swenson on January 15, 1949
in Watertown MN. Art passed away on Oct. 22, 1976. She was united in
Marriage with Paul Schmidt on Nov. 18, 1978 in Wadena.
Paul passed away November 17, 1995.
Marjorie enjoyed gardening, dancing, square dancing and crocheting. She
moved from her home to the Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena in Dec. of 2010.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husbands Arthur Swenson and
Paul Schmidt, Parents Frederick and Emily Rachow and Sisters
Mildred Crever, Eleanor Hille, Dena Olsen, Helen Hall and Renee Jelinik.
She is survived by many nieces, nephew and step-children.

wonderful stories about Marjorie who was adored by all. Interment at
Greenlawn Cemetery followed her Funeral services and family gathering.
