A.1.C. Kenneth Alston was killed May 18,1966 when the KC-Jet Tanker, of which he was assistant crew chief, crashed on a highway near Kadena Air Base at Naha, Okinawa. He had been in the Air Force for the last four years and eight months serving in Vietnam. At time of his death he was attached to the 484th O. M. S., TAFB.
Airman Alston was born May 8, 1941 in Towns County, to Homer Vaulx and Mable Loucile Osborn Alston. He was a beloved son, brother, husband and uncle who will be dearly missed. He was a member of the United Pentcostal Church. Survivors include his wife Jacqueline Annette Martin Alston; parents, Homer and Mable Alston, Helen; brother, Vaughn Herman Alston, Cannon City, Colorado; sisters, Avis Patterson, Elizabethtown, Ky.; Myrtle Chastain, Helen; and a number of nieces and nephews.
