The family spent some time in Panama before WWII where Juanita met her future husband, Wilson Woodrow Van Winkle, who was also in the U.S. Army.
Juanita and Wilson came to Center Point in the late 1960s, first living on Stoneleigh Road and later in town. They left and returned due to work, but eventually were able to retire. Juanita was active in Eastern Star and Wilson in the Center Point Masonic Lodge. He also preached at the Christian Church.
Juanita and Wilson had four children: Alan (1944-2004), Rosalyn (1947-2015), Ana Margaret Harpster and David.
Juanita and Wilson's five grandchildren are: Sean Harpster, and Sondra Harpster (Ana Margaret), Damian and Alex Van Winkle (David), and Kristi Van Winkle (Alan).
