Funeral services for Golden Cowin, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cowin, who passed away at their home, 118 East Pennsylvania Street, Saturday night at 10:40 o'clock as a result of severe burns suffered Friday afternoon, were held this afternoon at the Vine St. M.P. Church, at 3:00 o'clock, the Rev. F. E. Crider officiating.

Burial was made on the family lot in the Miller Cemetery, in charge of C.F. Fix & Son, funeral directors.

The child suffered greatly from the burns which it is thought, resulted when the infant fell against a hot kitchen stove, while playing with his brother and sister.

Mrs. Cowin was in the yard at the rear of the home, and hearing screams of the child ran to the house, finding the boy enveloped in flames. His arms, face, neck, chest and abdomen were seared by the flames.

Medical aid was of no avail and death occurred late Saturday night.

Besides the parents, he leaves a twin sister, Goldie, a brother, John, both at home, two half-brothers, Hollis Snyder and Raymond McDonald, both of this city, and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Lee, of this city.
