Arthur Thurmond, son of Charles A. Thurmond and his wife Sarah Pittman Thurman, married Lula Lynn of Rayville, Louisiana, the daughter of Matthew and Mary Hill Lynn. She was born 5 March 1866 and died at Mount Lebanon 21 Jun 1910. Shortly after his marriage, Arthur met with an untimely death while in Gibsland, Louisiana. John Henry Thurmond, born in July of 1858, died 1930, married his brother's widow in 1888 at Mount Lebanon.
He is believed to be buried in an unmarked grave at Mount Lebanon Cemetery with the rest of his family. Birth and death dates are approximated.
