Hattie Wilmoth (Goad) Tadpole, 90, of Porter, Oklahoma entered Heaven’s gates on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Hattie was born on March 28, 1926 to Silas Isom and Sarah Elizabeth Goad. She attended Muskogee Public schools.

She married the love of her life, Myrle “Mutt” Tadpole on June 19, 1945 and was blessed with two precious daughters, Katheryn Goodwin and Connie Miller. A week ago Sunday, Mutt and Hattie celebrated 71 years of life and marriage together.

Hattie retired from Dolly Madison where she served as the store manager for many years. All the grandkids remember Grandma’s freezer loaded with fruit pies and Zingers. As store manager, she recruited several of her grandkids to wear the Snoopy costume for special events. They would do anything for Grandma.

Hattie enjoyed serving the Lord at Northside Baptist Church in Muskogee where she loved spending time with her grandkids. She often volunteered to be a cabin cook at Fall’s Creek Youth Camp and the youth loved to jump into her and Mutt’s van to go on many adventures. Mutt and Hattie have always had a generous heart. They have opened up their home many times for anyone who needed a place to stay for a while.

Hattie’s hobbies included sewing, shopping, crafts, ceramics, quilting, plus hosting an annual Halloween family hayride and an annual family Easter egg hunt.

Hattie was preceded in death by her parents, Isom and Lizzie Goad, and her brothers, Leonard, Clifford, OM, Bill, and JI Goad.

Hattie is survived by her husband, Mutt Tadpole of Porter; her two daughters, Katheryn Goodwin and husband Jim of Muskogee and Connie Miller and husband Johnny Miller of Ft. Gibson; her six grandchildren, Kenny Goodwin of Porter, Molly Graves and husband Tim of Gore, Twanna Orman and husband Lonnie of Muskogee, Melissa Miller of Tulsa, Shanna Zapata and husband Joe of Dallas, TX, and Sherri Krech and husband Gary of Muskogee; her sister, Edna Barger Kendall of Broken Arrow, and brother Lue Goad and wife Mary of Ft. Gibson; 14 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews along with other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Hattie Tadpole will be Monday, June 27, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Southeast Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.
