He passed away June 2, 2011 in Tulsa at the age of 82 years He enjoyed his work as a carpenter and was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife wife, Lee Goad in 2009, parents and one daughter, Eleta Goad. J.I. is survived by his children, Johnny Jay Goad and wife Patty of Muskogee, Gordon Randell Goad of Point Cedar, Arkansas, Phillip Wayne Goad and wife Connie of Gore, Jacky Lynne Phillips of Gore and Steven Lee Goad of Gore; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one broher, Lou Ray Goad of Ft. Gibson and two sisters, Edna Jane Barger of Tulsa and Hattie Tadpole of Okay. Services 11 a.m. Wednesday, Elmwood Cemetery, Wagoner, Hersman-Nichols Funeral Home, Wagoner.
