Osey Lee Gann (Gan) was born in Navarro County Texas September 2, 1889 to the union of William Carroll Gan and Sallie Ann Farmer. Osey was the 6th child born who lived. He was raised in Navarro county where he met and married Amelia Cottongame and together they had one child, Jack Gan. They divorced and Jack took his Step fathers name' Mitchem. Osey married Lola Mae Brown March 19, 1916. Together they had 10 children. They were raised in Navarro County Texas until 1940's they left Texas and moved to Plain Dealing Louisiana. Osey Lee Gan and Lola Mae Gan are my grand parents.

Hw is buried in the Plain Dealing Cemetery along with his wife Lola Mae and several of his children.

His name is also spelled Osie in his earlier years.
