ROARK, Sarah age 85 of Somerville passed away at Butler County Care Facility on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 6:15 PM. She was born in Irvine, Kentucky on January 22, 1924 the daughter of Robert and Ethel (Hurley) Bowles. Sarah was employed in housekeeping at Mercy Hospital for 22 years, retiring in 1985. On January 12, 1946 in Northern Kentucky, she married Troy Roark Sr., and he preceded her in death in 1998. She is survived by a son, Troy (Vickie) Roark Jr. of Hamilton; a daughter, Juanita Smith of Chillicothe; five grandchildren, Terry Barnes, Daniel Smith, Guy Roark, Shawn Roark, and Alysia Centers; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Bowles of Oxford; two sisters, Armeta McQueen of Indiana and Betty Bentley of Toledo; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and four brothers. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM. www.browndawson.com
