Helon Holub, 97, of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Dallas.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Tuesday, April 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead with Monsignor Isodore Rozycki as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Monday, April 11, at Bellmead Funeral Home.

Helon was born October 3, 1918, in Axtell, Texas to Zelda and Dennie Milner. Her parents were from Scurry, Texas and spent their lives farming in the Axtell area. Helon grew up working on the farm with her two older brothers, Claude Ellison Milner and Marion Lee Barnhart, also assisting with her younger 3 brothers, James Harrison Milner, Dennie Monroe Milner and Dossie Earl Milner and 2 sisters, Mary Camilla Milner(nee Skelton) and Eva Dean Milner(nee Jungemann). She attended school in Axtell and after graduation was employed by Alico in Waco. Her strong work ethic and caring attitude made her the loving, giving person she was to all her friends and family. On August 1, 1940, Helon married Edwin E. Holub in Elk, Texas. She was deeply dedicated to her family as wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed working at Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in her younger married years also later assisting her husband in starting his own business as a Mobil Oil Consignment Agent. Helon appreciated the beauty and sounds of nature and especially loved gardening. She also enjoyed participating in sports, baseball, golf, bowling and fishing. She always welcomed others into her home and enjoyed entertaining, especially family dinners, barbecues and fish fry's.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Edwin Holub; 5 brothers, Claude, Marion, James, Dennie and Earl Milner; and 2 sisters, Dee and Mary.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Pelletiere and husband, Joe of Dallas; granddaughter, Nikki Pelletiere Spangler and husband, Mike of Dallas; granddaughter, Danielle Pelletiere Wilson and husband, Matt of Dallas; great-grandson, Mason Spangler and great granddaughter, Ella Spangler of Dallas; son Ken Holub, grandson Kris Holub and wife, Brandy and great-granddaughter, Presley of Waco; son, Ron Holub of Waco and grandson Scott Holub of Arlington; son, Johnny Holub and wife, Lesa of Waco; several nieces and nephews in South Dakota, California, Utah, Waco and Houston, Texas.

Pallbearers will be, Scott Holub, Kris Holub, Mike Spangler, Matt Wilson, Billy Doss and Brad Gyorko.
