OBITUARY

Lottie Overton Crutchfield, a housewife, died Tuesday at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. She was 85.

Mrs. Crutchfield was born in Providence, Tenn., the daughter of Edna Wagster and Robert Moses Overton. She lived in the Covington area for more than 50 years. She worked at Dunning's Flowers & Gifts in Covington for 13 years and worked for 13 years as cafeteria manager at what is now C. J. Schoen Middle School in Covington. Mrs. Crutchfield was a member of the St. Tammany Baptist Association, The First Baptist Church of Covington, The Eastern Star, and was a charter member of the Covington Art Association.

She is survived by four sons, Robert Crutchfield, John Crutchfield of Baton Rouge, R. Daniel Crutchfield of McComb, Miss., and David Crutchfield; a daughter, Rowena Mestayer; four sisters, Una Waddell of Brownsville, Texas, Viola Brown and Martha Crutchfield, both of Bells, Tenn., and Gladys Ozment of Nashville, Tenn.; and two brothers, Garlan Overton of Memphis, Tenn., and William Overton Of Bells.

A funeral will be held at 11 A.M. today at First Baptist Church Of Covington. Visitation will be held at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington from 9:30 A.M. until the service. Burial will be in Bogue Falaya Cemetery in Folsom. 12-22-1994 Times Picayune
