Orpha Grace, the daughter of Walter and Laura Dixon, was born February 11, 1912, at Yukon, Missouri; died May 14, 1940, at Orange, California, making her age at time of death 28 years, 3 months and 3 days.

She was united in marriage to Charley Callahan April 3, 1927. To this union six children were born, two preceding her in death.

She leaves husband, 4 children, father, mother, 2 sisters, 1 brother, 1 grandmother, a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing. To know Orpha was to love her.

She was converted at the age of 13 and joined the Free Will Baptist church at Big Creek. She lived a true christian life and at the end said she was ready to go.

Sleep on, dear Orpha,
Take thy rest;
God called you home,
For He knows best.

The remains were shipped back to the old home for burial. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. A. Higby at Big Creek church Tuesday afternoon, burial in Big Creek cemetery. A large crowd of sorrowing relatives and friends attended. --Contributed
