BERTIE MEDLOCK

Bertie I. Medlock, 93, daughter of Jerry R. Dixon and Sarah Jane Baker Dixon, was born February 7, 1892, near Yukon. She died Sept. 2, 1985, at Incarnate Ward Hospital in St. Louis.

She was united in marriage to Frank A. Medlock January 22,1911. The couple had seven children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank; a son, Junior and a daughter, Tressie.

Surviving are two sons, Leo of Yukon and Doyle of Osage Beach; three daughters, Hildred Goodspeed of St. Louis, Irma Williams of Mountain Grove and Carrie Medlock of the home; one brother, Elmer Dixon of Houston; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She spent most of her lifetime on the farm home in the Yukon community where she and her husband reared their family. For the past several months she had made her home in St. Louis with her daughter, Hildred.

She was a member of the Big Creek Freewill Baptist Church.

Services were Thursday, Sept. 6, at the Big Creek Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. John Schebaum officiating. Burial was in the Big Creek Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home of Houston.
