Pearl Tressie Deeds, the daughter of Jerry and Sarah Jane Dixon, was born Aug. 14, 1887, at Yukon, Mo., and died Monday, Jan. 23, 1967 in the Texas County Memorial Hospital. Her age at the time of her death was 79 years, five months and nine days.
Her entire life was spent in Texas County. She was married to Ira Deeds Sept. 1, 1901 in the family home at Yukon.
After the death of her husband Jan. 11, 1950, she moved into town where she continued to live until hospitalized. She had been in poor health for several years and was hospitalized in June of 1966. She entered Texas County Memorial Hospital Dec. 20, where she died Monday evening, Jan. 23, 1967.
Surviving are three brothers and two sisters, Walter Dixon of Houston, Charley Dixon of Yukon, Mrs. Emma Abrams of California, Mrs. Bertie Medlock of Yukon and Elmer Dixon of Yukon.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Jan. 25, in the Big Creek Church, the Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Burial was in the Big Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Evans-Elliott Funeral Home.
