Arthur Douglas Dixon, 80, of Yukon, died Saturday afternoon in the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. Mr. Dixon was a retired farmer and lifelong resident of this area.

Surviving are two sons, Othel, Summersville, and Melvin, Yukon; a daughter, Mrs. Iva Westerman, Walsh, Colo.; three brothers, Walter, Houston, and Charlie and Elmer, both of Yukon; and three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Deeds, Raymondville, Mrs. Birdie Medlock, Yukon, and Mrs. Emma Abrams, Cudahy, Calif.

In 1904, he was married to Cora Chambers who preceded him in death in 1912. He was a member of the Grandview Church.

Funeral services were conducted Dec. 2 at the Big Creek church with Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Evans of Houston.
