Davis, Edith Claire Causey left this world to be with our Father in Heaven and all her loved ones that have gone before her on Wednesday March 9th, 2016 at the golden age of ninety four (94). Beloved wife for sixty five years to the late Winborn E. Davis, mother of Mike and Ronald Davis, grandmother of Kingsley K. Reister and husband Adrian Brandon M. Davis and wife Christine, Aaron J. Davis and wife Nelie, great-grandmother of Timothy D. Wicks and wife Cellie, James G. Wicks and wife Rachael, and John Winborn Wicks, Joshua B. Davis and Jakob B. Davis and Great great grandmother of Elliot Lucas Wicks.

Miss Claire was born on March 31, 1921 to Robert D. and Sadie Nunnery Causey at Bewelcome, Mississippi. She began her life as a tiny premature infant, sleeping in a shoe box, handkerchiefs as diapers and being fed with an eyedropper. Miss Claire went on to become one of the strongest most determined ladies ever, spreading love, caring and laughter everywhere and to everyone she ever came in contact with. There were no strangers in her home where her first question to everyone was always "are you hungry"? Over the years she took in many stray children and adults alike always nurturing them, feeding them and sharing her love and understanding with them. No better mother, wife or friend ever existed and she will be dearly missed by family and friends. Although tiny of stature Miss Claire was a giant in all things that matter putting lots of love into the lives of all of us that have been so very blessed as to have her in our lives.

Family request visiting hours be observed on Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 11 am to 12pm at Greenoaks Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 12pm.

Interment to follow on the ground of Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Arrangements under the direction of Greenoaks Funeral Home, Baton Rouge, LA.
