Margaret Louise Bair, 94, of Westminster, died Monday, March 7, 2016 at Carroll Lutheran Village Health Care Center.
Born December 21, 1921 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence M. and Merle Lindsay Barnes Haines.
Mrs. Bair was formerly employed with Black and Decker, Hampstead for 18 years and retired in 1981. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, New Windsor, Ladies of Westminster Moose Lodge #897, Ladies Auxiliary of Littlestown Eagles Aerie #2226, Ladies Auxiliary of Westminster American Legion Post #31 and Ladies Auxiliary of Westminster VFW Post #467.
Surviving are three sons, Melvin D. Bair Jr. and wife, Norma of Westminster, Wayne D. Bair and wife Debbie of Hanover, PA, Dennis H. Bair and wife, Donna of Westminster; five grandchildren, Amy Bair, Andy Bair and wife Nancy, Stephen Bair and wife Nicole, Tanner Bair and Maggie Bair and six great-grandchildren, Sophie, Michael, Jake, Luke, Tori and Grace Bair.
She was predeceased by seven sisters, Ruth V. Fleming, Jane L. Owings, Ella M. Barnes, Anna E. Crawmer, Mary E. Stack, Catherine L. Shipley and Dorothy L. Rhoten and five brothers, James D., William C., Gordon E., Ralph E. and Walter T. Haines.
The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 310 Church St., New Windsor 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 10.
A private graveside service will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, with Rev. Jimmie Schwartz, chaplain of Carroll Lutheran Village, officiating.
