Faye Anderson was born August 17, 1932 in Minco, Oklahoma, the daughter of William C. Elliott and Lula Lattimore Elliott. She was married to Bobby Ray Anderson on June 29, 1951 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Lula Faye Anderson was always known by her middle name, Faye. She was a kind, happy person, a friend to all. Her wit was quick and keen. She was truly humorous.
She taught 26 years, 22 of which were at Vian Public Schools. Her first four years in the teaching profession were in West Plains, Mo.
Faye taught sixth through 12th grade, including English at grades 6 through 11, reading, health,accounting,general business, shorthand and typing. She also sponsored the yearbook for 15 years.
A graduate of Vian High School, she was secretary to the school superintendent, the late B. J. Traw for 4 years before attending college. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Northeastern State University at Tahlequah. She also did graduate study at NSU East Central State University and the University of Albuquerque.

4 granddaughters Kyleigh, Katie, Morgan and Kayden

3 great grandsons: Kason, Dylan and Trace

1 sister: Kathleen Lambert of Lawton, OK

1 brother: Aaron Elliott of Vian, OK

several nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends

She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters: Vertie Elliott, Ann Basore, Judy Brown and Mary Roberts, and 5 brothers: William, John, Charles, James, and Frank Elliott

Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Vian Baptist Church with burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma.

Active pallbearers were Randy Rogers, Neal Rogers, Logan Coffee, Pat Sullivan, Jim Ed Mabray, Tony Sharp.

Honorary pallbearers were Myron Venable, Jerry Trotter, Aaron Elliott, J.B Cotner, Ed Brockman and Dearl Anderson.
