Joncie Nantz Church, 92, was called to her Heavenly home on Monday, July 20, 2015.
She was born on December 1, 1922 to Debbie Jane Sherrill Nantz and Fred Alexander Nantz. Joncie was a Registered Nurse and spent her whole life helping and taking care of people. She loved cross word puzzles and traveling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William Buck Church; son-in-law, Jerry Clyde Hendrix; brothers, Robert, Homer, Shorty, Joe, JC, Jack, and Charles; and sister, Edna Rice.
Joncie is survived by her children, William “Sandy” Buck Church, Jr. and wife, Carey of Mooresville, Jane Church Hendrix of Mocksville, Jack Nantz Church of Mooresville; grandchildren, Gina (Bill) Gremminger of Virginia Beach, VA, Chris (Amber) Church of Mooresville, J.C. (Stephanie) Hendrix of Mocksville, Brad Church of Chicago, IL, Kathy (Ted) Hathcock of Georgia, Joey (Ann Marie) Church of Charlotte; great grandchildren, Morgan, Cody, Mason, Adam, Christopher Jr, Colby, Arden, and Caroline.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 23 at Centre Presbyterian Church, Mooresville. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. All other times the family will be meeting at the home of Jack Church, formerly the home of Buck and Joncie, 2255 Charlotte Hwy, Mooresville
