Joe Nantz Joe VanBuren Nantz, 74, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. He was born June 18, 1935 in Moor-esville. Joe was the son of Debbie Sherrill and Fred Alexander Nantz. A self-employed plumber, he was a life member of Mooresville Moose Lodge #2012. Joe attended The Cove Church.
He was preceeded in death by brothers, Robert, J.C., Homer, "Shorty," Jack and Charles Nantz. He was a self-employed plumber. He is survived by his wife, Ann Carver Nantz; daughters, Wanda McKenzie (Keith), and Donna Catledge of Moor-esville; sons, Jeff Nantz and Scott Nantz (Dee) also of Mooresville; sisters, Joncie Church and Edna Rice of Mooresville; grandchildren, Matt, David (Samantha) and Luke McKenzie, Jake and Nicole Catledge, all of Mooresville.
Funeral services for Mr. Nantz will be held today, Wednesday, June 16, at 11 a.m. at The Cove Church with the Rev. Larry Paulk officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family has requested that everyone please dress casually. Burial will be in the Centre Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Memorials may go to The Cove Church, in memory of Joe Nantz, 197 Langtree Road, Mooresville NC 28115. The family will be assembling at all times at the home of his daughter, Wanda McKenzie, 154 Peninsula Drive, Mooresville NC. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home is serving the family of Joe Nantz.
