LAST RITES MAR. 23 FOR ROBERT A. BILLUPS Robert A. Billups, son of Thomas and Susan (Upp) Billups, was born Mar. 30, 1875 near Chillicothe, Missouri, and passed away Mar. 21, 1958, following an illness of about four years.
He moved to Chariton County as a child where he remained his entire life. He was an active farmer until his retirement in December 1947.
On Feb. 23, 1898 he was united in marriage to Daisy Maggard. Besides his wife, he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. B.W. Pearman, Mrs. Russell Heiman and Mrs. Vernie Drew, all of Keytesville, Mrs. Mike Pearman and Mrs. J.A. Leathers of Moberly; two brothers, Roy Billups of Van Nuys, California, and William Billups of Magnolia, Illinois; two sisters, Mag McKane of Mendon, and Dora Rohwedder of near Brunswick; eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Garnett Chapel Sunday afternoon. Burial was in the Dalton Cemetery.
