After high school, June joined the Air Force where she met and married Robert Kobi. They had two children, John Kobi and Margie Kobi. Due to her husband making a career in the Air Force, June worked at various commissaries all over the world. In later years, she did office work for the government in Massachusetts. Upon her returning, she moved back to New Castle where she was born. June was a quiet person with great crafting skills in sewing and crochet. She could paint, wallpaper, and use most household tools to fix her home. She enjoyed planting flowers. Christmas was her favorite holiday and making large festive Christmas stockings was her specialty. In her final years from 2010 to 2016, she was taken care of by her loving nieces, Judy Germani and Rose Hake.
In addition to her children, June is survived by her brothers, John Hake and wife Carol of Houston, TX and Fred Hake and wife Concetta of Newport News, VA, and three grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Alvie Hake, Robert Hake, Paul Hake, and Dale Hake, and sisters, Charlotte Gerhardt, Dorothy Bales, Mildred Ridenbaugh, and Jayne Jenkins.
According to her wishes, there will be no calling hours.
Interment will take place in Oak Park Cemetery. A private graveside ceremony is planned for spring.
