Per North America Family Histories, DAR, Sarah Adams, born 1835, daughter of John and Sarah Whann Adams, married James Hamilton Beatty in 1853, and had a daughter, Ella Beatty, who married Addison H. Gray.

Franklin, Nov. 6 -- Mrs. Sarah Adams Whitaker died this morning at her home, ? Fourteenth Street, of complication if diseases. She had been in ill health for the greater part of the past year. She was the daughter of John and Sarah Whann Adams of Franklin.

She was held in highest regard by a large circle of friends. She had a cheerful disposition.

She leaves members of the John Adams family, William G., Adaline of Polk.
