Katy M. Posten

Katy M. Posten, 80, of Sweetwater, died Friday, May 28, 2004 at Robert Lee Care Center.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, May 31, 2004 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Horton officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Mrs. Posten was born April 14, 1924 in DeQueen, Ark. She married Virgil W. Posten on Aug. 5, 1939 in Sweetwater. She was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God.

Survivors include her husband, Virgil W. Posten of Sweetwater; three daughters, Ann Pfeiff of Sweetwater, Shawna McMillian of Brownwood, and Danielle Deadman of McCamey; one son Jimmy Posten of Sweetwater; three sisters, Luella Cox of Abilene, Imo Ross of Granbury, and Vada Shanklin of Hobbs, N.M.; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
