Helga Elizabeth Jelsing was born in Garfield, Minensota July 13, 1896, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Linder. She attended school and grew to womanhood in the Garfield community. On Sept. 4, 1923 she was united in marriage to Robert Jelsing in Alexandria. Mr. and Mrs. Jelsing continued to live in Alexandria.
She passed away June 14, 1971 at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria at the age of 74 years. She is survived by her husband, Robert; four daughters: Helen (Mrs. Harley Fahrenholz) of Clarissa; June (Mrs. Dwight Steinle) of Alexandria; Norma (Mrs. Dennis Samuelson) of Battle Lake; Thelma (Mrs. Milo Samuelson) of Alexandria; also surviving are nine grandchildren; one brother Axel Linder of Alexandria and one sister, Mrs. Herman Peterson of Bremerton, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held June 17, 1971 at the Anderson Funeral Chapel at Alexandria, Minnesota. Pallbearers were Milo Samuelson, Dennis Samuelson, Philip Linder, Dwight Steinle, Steve Steinle, Harley Fahrenholz. Interment was at Sunset Memorial, Kinkead, Alexandria, Minnesota.
