Hans S. Linder was born in Sweden on Nov. 1, 1881, son of Sefiennas and Anna Linder. When he was eleven years of age, he came with his parents to the United States, coming to the Garfield community. OnMarch 14, 1912 he was united in marriage to Mary Christenson. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Linder lived at Fergus Falls where Mr. Linder was employed in the Sash & Door Factory, until 1919 when they moved to Alexandria. Mr. Linder was employed at the Alexandria Boat Works for thirty-one years, until his retirement in 1950.
Mr Linder passed away on Saturday, Feb. 18th, 1961, at the Douglas County Hospital at the age of 79 years. Surviving him are his wife, Mary, one brother, Axel Linder of Alexandria; four sisters: Emma (Mrs. Herman Peterson) of Renton, Wash.; Annie (Mrs. Ole Bergner); Helga (Mrs. Robert Jelsing) and Olga (Mrs. Manley Larson), all of Alexandria. One brother, John Linder, preceded him in death.
