William J. Woll was born on September 9, 1889, in Danville, Pennsylvania. He was the son of John William Woll and Lydia Trease. William married Theresa M. Kremer, and they were the parents of Theodore William, Theresa Mary, William Henry, Edward Patrick, Loretta Florence, James Lawrence, Donald Theodore, Bernard William, Harold Joseph, and Patricia (Sister M. Aniceta, IHM). He died on December 29, 1982 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, and was buried with his wife in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Danville, PA.

He was a barber most of his life and a violinist. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus. His wife Theresa died in 1980.
Surviving are six sons, Theodore, Edward, Donald, Bernard and Harold Woll, all of Danville; James, Baltimore, Md.; three daughters, Sister Patricia Woll, IHM, St. Agnes Convent, Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Millard (Loretta) Linthicum, Colo.; Mrs. Leonard (Theresa) Talone, Conshohocken; 29 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A son, William, preceded him in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be in the parish cemtery under the direction of the John J. Brady Fuenral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. Rosary will be srecited at 8 p.m."
